2019 has been a great year for cryptocurrency but more importantly for convergence applications. A recent report from Outlier Ventures shows that investors are currently shifting their focus from crypto to convergence applications.

The report, which was published on Aug 13, gave a good insight into blockchain investment and overall market trend for 2019. It showed that blockchain-focused companies had acquired $23.7 billion in the past 6 years. The bulk of this growth can be linked to early investment in Bitcoin and Ether.

The gave a new insight into investments in blockchain. One thing it highlights is the new focus on convergence apps rather than cryptocurrency by investors. However, both are still some way from catching artificial intelligence.
